On September 20, 2012 at the commissioning event of the USS Fort worth, a hand cast, bronze statue of an original piece by artist, Jack Bryant, Jr. was presented to the crew. Following in his father’s footsteps, Jack Bryant Jr. designed a stunningly beautiful, uniquely Texan piece to be presented to the crew of the USS Fort Worth LCS 3. Featuring a mounted and armed Texas Ranger, the statue is just over 2’ tall. Immediately after hearing the slogan of the crew, Bryant named the piece ‘Grit & Tenacity.’
