The Support Committee Honors the Members of the Crew at the Decommissioning of the USS Fort Worth

This past week, members of the USS Fort Worth Support Committee traveled to San Diego to honor the men and women who crewed the USS Fort Worth. While the decommissioning was bittersweet, our Support Committee members were blessed to take part in this very special ceremony and to recognize the crew, past and present, who embody the grit and tenacity of the USS Fort Worth. The photos speak more than words ever could.

For more than 15 years, the USS Fort Worth has built a legacy that reflects the highest traditions of the United States Navy and the unwavering spirit of the Fort Worth community. The ship was named after years of advocacy by U.S. Rep. Kay Granger and Secretary of the Navy Gordon England, recognizing Fort Worth's longstanding role in the nation's defense. As the USS Fort Worth concludes her service, we honor the distinguished service of every officer, sailor, and family member connected to the ship.
