What a weekend! Over Labor Day week, the White Settlement Historical Museum crew came together to design, cut, tape, and build our very own cardboard boat in honor of the USS Fort Worth (LCS-3).
After three days of teamwork, duct tape, and plenty of laughs, they were ready to set sail at the City of White Settlement’s Rock the Boat Cardboard Boat Race and the results were nothing short of amazing.
🏆 Best Boat Design – Two Years in a Row
Thanks to the creativity and hard work of the build team: Suzy, Louis, Sarah, Tracy, and Carol (with Mikey cheering from afar) the boat earned “Best Boat Design” for the second consecutive year. The judges were especially impressed with their tribute to the real USS Fort Worth, complete with a three-nerf-missile salute honoring those who have served or are currently serving aboard.
