Fleet Week San Diego: One Last Sail, One Big Celebration

This year’s Fleet Week San Diego is more than just a trip—it’s a final chapter in the story of a ship that has served with strength, spirit, and pride. And we want YOU to be part of it.

As we prepare to honor her service one last time, USS Fort Worth Support Committee is hitting the road (and the water!) for a weekend of community, camaraderie, and celebration. Here’s what’s in store—and how you can help make it happen.

What’s Happening in San Diego

We’re bringing the Fort Worth spirit to the West Coast with a full weekend of meaningful and fun-filled events for our alumni, members, and supporters:

Friday – Alumni Happy Hour

We’ll kick things off with a casual, welcoming evening where friends—old and new—can reconnect, share memories, and toast to the ship’s legacy.

Saturday – Lunch, Lessons & Friendly Competition on the Ship

Spend the day onboard as we share lunch, host leadership lessons, and spark a little friendly rivalry. It’s a chance to step back onto the deck one last time—and make a few more memories.

Saturday Evening – Dinner at the Canbys’ Home

A heartfelt thank-you to the Canby family for hosting a special dinner at their home. It will be a beautiful evening of connection, storytelling, and celebration of all we’ve accomplished together.

Hotel Information

Our main hotel for the trip will be Two Little Italy Hotel in downtown San Diego. This hotel will also serve as the shuttle pick-up and drop-off point for all Fleet Week events, making it the perfect home base for the weekend
